Colorful Up Inspired Wedding

Posted by dressalfron on June 26th, 2014

Chrystal and Ruel wanted their wedding to be fun, memorable and colorful. They love the movie “UP” and used the film as their wedding inspiration. They love that the story is about going through the ups and downs of life together, and it doesn’t hurt that the movie is filled with color and awe inspiring details. Thanks to a dream team of vendors including a few from our Hand-Picked collection, In The Now who designed, coordinated and put together the invites as well as the talented florist The Vine’s Leaf. As always, there are a ton more photos to see in the full gallery here, all captured by Tim and Jess. From The Bride:We personalized a few items in the wedding to make it more our own. My friends and I created the bouquets, corsages, bottle cap boutonnieres, and the pinwheels for the backdrop. Everything else was left to the expertise of In The Now Weddings. They were incredible! They really paid attention to every detail.Everyone involved in the day made us feel very relaxed. We could not have picked a better group of vendors to help make the day happen. From the icebreakers by Station Identification to keep the party going, to Tim & Jess and Chapter Fold for capturing all the moments throughout the day and making us feel comfortable in front of cameras, Greg for performing our ceremony, Tropical Shave Ice for keeping our friends and family cool, and the delicious BBQ from Wood Ranch. Our most memorable moment of the day was during our first dance with, “Because of You” being sung by our friend Karol. It was when we were able to let the moment sink in. It was like we were the only ones there. The rest of the night went by quickly, which proves that time flies when you’re having fun!Their AdviceOur advice to couples preparing for their big day is to create a budget, and make sure to stick with it. Don’t be afraid to look for other affordable options, and always take advantage of help when offered. Remember to relax, have fun with the process, and enjoy the full experience together. These late night treat boxes should be a staple at every single wedding. Filled with chips, candy, donuts and cookies in a to-go donut box. A completely brilliant idea .. don’t you think?Be sure to watch the entire film from Chapterfold Productions. We really do love when you can see everything in real-life. Another reason why should totally hire a cinematographer.Event Designer & Coordinator: In The NowFlowers: The Vine’s LeafPhotographer: Tim and JessVenue: Clarke EstateMakeup: Sophadavy HunHair: Brook Davis & Sandra Pimentel of Downtown Darling SalonCake: King’s Hawaiian BakeryCaterer: Wood Ranch BBQCinematography: Chapterfold ProductionsDJ: Robert Poff of Station IdentificationDress Designer: David’s BridalGroom’s Attire: Marc EckoJewelry: The Tootsie WootsieLighting: Robert Poff of Station IdentificationOfficiant: Greg MohrShoe Designer: SeychellesStationery: In The Now Veil: Sandra PimentelProp or Furniture Rentals: Classic Party RentalsTropical Shave Ice: EJ KukahikoLinen: La TavolaBouquets: DIY’d by bridesmaids and friends of bride | Cake Topper: designed by Chuck Cauton, friend of bride and groom
