When it is used as a fuel it is no longer referred to as LP gas, but now it’s called auto gas or auto propane. Since the 1940’s, it has been used as an alternative for petrol, especially for spark ignition engines. It has also been used in the role of refrigeration. In this situation, LP gas is used in providing off the grid refrigeration by the use of a gas absorption refrigerator.
