IBPS i.e. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is the autonomous body which implements selection processes to help organizations hire efficient employees.  One such initiative was Common Written Examination (CWE) started in 2011 to recruitment of officers in the Banking sector. Since then IBPS conducts CWE recruitment process periodically.

With the IBPS PO exam being organized in October, September, bank job aspirants are anxious about the IBPS Recruitment Procedure. IBPS follows an intensive and intricate procedure for choosing the eligible applicants for the existing vacancies. The main aim of the IBPS Recruitment is to cut down from lakhs of applying candidates to a handful of capable candidates.

IBPS CWE recruitment employs an elimination process in very round rather than selection showing the huge gap between aspirants and vacancies; aspirants being much higher than the postings.

The rounds in IBPS Recruitment are given below:

·  Common Written Exam

·  Interview

·  Allotment

It is known that the Online registration for CWE recruitment this year has been closed early this month and the exam will be held online in a phased format during the dates of  11th, 12th 18th, 19th of October and 1st, 2nd of December (if needed).

As a part of its recruitment, IBPS even provides a free training for limited candidates from SC, ST and Minorities background before the exam. This pre-exam training is held at nodal banks and other participating banks.

Due to the variation in difficulty levels at the exams held at different locations, IBPS normalizes the candidates score. This method makes sure the candidates who attempted an easy question paper may not have an advantage over others who got a comparatively difficult paper.

The minimum marks to be obtained to qualify for the next round in IBPS recruitment is decided based on the number of job requirements. However, to make it to the next round, candidates have to reach the cutoff mark in individual sections along with the overall score.  Therefore the results will be released based on the vacancies. This year, the results are scheduled to release in November. The results can be checked on the internet and also an email would be sent to all the candidates qualified in this first round of IBPS recruitment.

The candidates who cleared the CWE will be eligible for the next round of IBPS Recruitment i.e. Interview. Those candidates will be able to download their call letters for the interview in January next year. The interview would be tentatively held in the same month. CWE and Interview hold the weightage ratio of 80:10 in IBPS Recruitment. To proceed further a candidate has to qualify in both preferably with good percentage. It is mandatory to carry the list of documents for the interview mentioned in the IBPS official website. Failing to do the same would cancel the candidature of that candidate.

After successfully clearing both the rounds of IBPS Recruitment, allotment of jobs takes place. Depending on the business needs of the participating organizations, the candidates are shortlisted considering both Merit and Preference. Then they are provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks/financial organizations. After the successful verification process at the allotted organization, the Appointment Letter would be issued. The last step of IBPS CWE recruitment is the allotment of posts which would take place in April 2015.
