What Is a Mobile-First Design Philosophy?

A couple of days ago, I learned the concept of mobile-first design, and I would like to share this knowledge with you. It's a design strategy when you focus on mobile design while designing your digital product. And laptop/desktop design follows. 

Thus, we assume that people are inclined to read, browse, use the applications on their smartphones and that your digital product most likely will be used on a smartphone or some similar small device like an Apple Watch.

Mobile-first design philosophy envisions that, whatever is your product, you start with a smartphone version and then eventually move to platforms with larger screens. Such philosophy requires a specific approach to crucial things.

For example, let's talk about content. Smaller screens dictate fewer words for more value, smaller images, more occasional calls to action. When it comes to UI/UX design, we need to consider user experience different from using laptops - larger buttons and input forms, screen limitations.
