RSPS - What RSPS should I play?

Posted by runelocus on December 4th, 2015

According toRuneLocus, there have been over 200.000 RSPS since 2007. That'salmost 2000 new RuneScape private servers per month. Of course a small percentage liveslongerthan a month, but still, it is obviousthatit is hard tofind the perfect RSPS. It's likesearchingfor a needle in a haystack.

In thisarticlewe'll help you in finding a good RSPS toplay on. We of course don't want to link youto a random RSPS thatwill go offline in a matter of weeks resultingintoloss of your hard work, RuneScape items andeventuallypurchasedmembership or anythingelse. That'swhywe'restrivingtofindyouonlyqualityRuneScape private servers, forthiswe'reusing the RSPS list made byRuneLocus.

This site offers all kinds of services aboutRuneScape private servers. The biggestand most known feature however, is the RSPS list. At the very moment there are about 2000 RSPS online andlisted. The list was originallyrandomlyorderedto help youfindboth new andoldRuneScape private servers, but nowadaysRuneLocus has become a so-called 'toplist'. This means that the RSPS on the list are orderedby the amount of votesit has. The managers of RuneScape servers do their best to collect votesfromtheirplayers, forexamplethey'regiving out points foreachvote made (voting is possibleeach 24 hours). With a specificamount of points theycanpurchasesomethingunique, meaningthey have lots of motivationto make a vote.

Usually, the servers with most votes are the largest RSPS. Being the largest RSPS however does notmeanthatit is the biggest RSPS. That'swhyit is important foryoutoknowwhat kind of RuneScape server youprefertoplay. Do youprefer a big (200 or more players online) RSPS, or a small one? Are youlookingfor a quick way toobtain items, or are you, justlike the real RuneScape, willingtospendmonths of time toreachcertain levels or items? There are many different kind of RSPS, here are a few: economy, skilling, pking, old school and PVM. Next tothat, there'salso the so-calledrevisions. These are versions of RuneScape. For example 317 is the Old School RuneScape, and 700+ is close to the modern RuneScapefromthisvery moment.

RuneLocus has a feature to filter out all the non-relevant RuneScape servers. Soifyou'relookingfor a 317 revision, select 317 in the filter sectionandallyou'llsee is a list of RSPS using the Old School 317 revision. We alsoadviseyoutouse the keyword search. For exampleifyou'relookingfor a game with minigames or clan wars, search for minigames or clan wars (andoptionally select the revision) toonly display RSPS with the content yousearchedfor.

Keep in mind, the RSPS with most votes are notalways the best. They are however the most stable servers andwillstay on the longestfor sure.
