The entire composites value chain recently embarked onto the City of Light for JEC Europe 2015 (March 10-12). The largest trade show for the industry continues to grow in size, with exhibitors and visitors up by a reported 13%, according to the show organizer, JEC Group. As expected, there was plenty of new technology, applications and innovation proudly displayed at the show.

Auto and aerospace OEM and Tier supplier Hutchinson (Paris, France) showcased an innovative front suspension, made of fiberglass/epoxy in a resin transfer molding (RTM) process.

The new Evonik (Parsippany, NJ, US) race car consists of customized composite structures, fabricated using polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) glazing and a lightweight sandwich core.
