There are rumors that the film "WOW Gold" has been delayed in order to prevent competition, but is now locked in for a summer release this year.

According to Ecumenical News, the movie was initially slated for a December launch. However, in order to prevent competition with the high profile film, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the movie was moved to March. Still, "World of Warcraft" has been moved once again since DC's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated in March 2016. So this time, the movie will be released on June 10.

In terms of storyline, film director Duncan Jones revealed that the plot may explore the beginning of "World of Warcraft," as he shared his conversation with Blizzard, in an interview with 2p.

He explained, "From the moment I first talked to Blizzard, the plan was to start our film with the first time Orcs met Humans. First contact! I think that for a world with so much newness to explain, this was a wise choice, especially when so many people in our audience may not know anything about Warcraft... It was important that some of our characters would be seeing the world fresh as well, and that the audience could see the situation through their eyes."

However, he refused to share more details if fans will get to see new characters that have not appeared in the "Warcraft" lore, as well as information if the movie will focus largely on the contact of humans with the Orcs. He teased that this is information best known and answered while watching the motion picture.

Meanwhile, at the recently held Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 last week, Blizzard has introduced some "World of Warcraft" items such as the battery bank that looks like a door hammer and statues. Fans of the game were delighted to see good promotional items that can further hype up the coming of the movie in theatres.

"World of Warcraft Gold" is said to be released on June 10, 2016.
