Stand Out During Trade Show Exhibits On and Off the Floor

As a business owner, you want to stand out from the crowd during trade show exhibits since your target audience will quickly and easily spot your exhibition booth, stand, or display. The more positive attention your booth gets, the more chances for selling your products and services, expanding your professional network, and getting more suppliers, among other benefits.

Create a Buzz

Lest you think, however, that standing out from the crowd starts on the exhibition floor, you have to think otherwise. Even before you have set up your booth, you can perform a few preparatory steps to increase the buzz around it. By the time your booth has been set up, you have already established the buzz and your booth will be a top priority among the guests and visitors to the trade shows.

First, you can presell your products and services. You can request potential customers, vendors, and suppliers to check out your booth even before you have officially opened it. Keep in mind that since people travel in groups during trade shows, you can encourage them to bring their friends.

Second, you should use online media to create the buzz around your products and services in relation to your exhibition booth. You can create your own hashtag, announce the trade show details, and provide peeks into your custom exhibits on social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as on industry-specific websites and on your official website.

Live Up to the Hype

Of course, you must also remember that your booth should speak for your company as well as its products and services. You have already set a high expectation for your exhibition booth and you must deliver on it.

Keep these booth design tips in mind to stand out from the crowd:

  • Use bright colors, particularly company colors, to attract the attention of passersby.
  • Be sure that the texts and images used can actually be read and seen from a distance, such as 10 feet away. Look at the copy used, too, since potential clients will first be attracted by the colors but their attention can only be sustained with engaging copy.
  • Show your credibility proudly. You can mention your business awards on the copy, for example, so that your potential clients will have something to base their judgments on.

Furthermore, you have to create a reason for clients to be engaged in your business, such as contests and games. You will find that it does not even matter that you only availed of an exhibit booth rental package considering the way that clients are flocking to your stand.
