Unfortunately, Android doesnt have a built-in way to check battery status. In case you didnt know, Android offers some basic battery information in its settings.

  • Go to Settings, Battery and tap the Battery usage option in the top-right three-dot menu.

  • On the Battery Usage screen that appears, you will see a list of the apps that have used the most battery on your device since it was last fully charged.

  • Press the three dots menu button and select Show full device usage to allow usage of system processes like the screen and the operating system itself.

  • While this doesnt let you manage battery health, it does allow you to identify apps that are using too much battery and limit their use. Many great apps are available for free on the Google Play Store, so give one a try. Almost all of these applications help to accurately determine the health of the battery.

Android Smartphone have a few hidden codes that you can enter into the phone app to access the test menu. One of them displays various information about your device, including battery status.

Keep in mind that you dont have to worry too much about the health of the battery. Unless you constantly drain your battery, most phone batteries are reliable enough to last several years with normal use. Its not a bad idea to keep your battery healthy as much as possible, but dont get hung up on it.
