The mobile manufacturers are continously working on their technology and are coming up with new models every now and then with latest specifications and features. The increasing demand of smartphones have given rise another industry i.e, refurbishing industry where the middle men refurbish the smartphones and sell them at lower rates than the original and unaffordable market price. These phones may be a high-end latest iPhone, S6 Edge or cheap Lenovo K4 Note price at even lesser price.

This activity of buying and selling refurbished goods is called recommence and is gradually gaining popularity among middle class buyers as their budget is less and they wish to purchase a phone with good high-end specifications but at a cheaper price like Lenovo A7000 price. Nowadays, even the popular online portals like Shopclues, Snapdeal or Amazon etc., are selling the refurbished devices. Many users are quite sceptical about buying them as they are still in dilemna whether to go for a second hand product or not which has been slightly tampered or tinkered with post an accident or even returned to the online retailer for no reason.

There are various trusted refurbishing outlets in India as follows :

  1. Overcart : Another place to be considered while buying pre-owned, unboxed and refurbished devices is Overcart. They sell the phones which are refurbished by manufacturers themselves. There are chances that the product may get some scratches, cuts or marks while in production, then they are sold as a Pre-owned product (i.e, they do not look new but are never used). The company claims to have 36-point quality check to analyse each device and then their price is decided upon. It offers discounts upto 50-60% also depending upon various factors. For example, it is offering good discount on Samsung J5 price and Samsung J7 price but make sure that the you check the prices of new handset before purchasing it from Overcart.
  2. Gobol : Gobol is a subsidiary of recycling firm Attero which deals in refurbished smartphones, tablets, cameras like Canon 1300d and accessories. For user's convenience, Gobol has categorized the smartphone inventory into various categories such as surplus, factory seconds, refurbished and pre-owned leading to varriation in prices. The discounts vary from 10% to 60% depending upon the brand, quality, warranty and life-cycle of the product. It also offers its own 6 month warranty as well as brand warranty (which is left-over warranty of the handset from its original date of purchase).
  3. Amazon : Few months back, Amazon also ventured into refurbished smartphone segment in India. They are providing quality assurance, brand warranty as well as after-sales support of these devices as in new product. They are offering the discount of approximately 2-3K since they are selling the devices which are refurbished by the manufacturer themselves. All of them come with a standard 6 month warranty, sealed packaging and a 10-day return policy.
  4. Greendust : Besides refurbished smartphones, Greendust also sells other consumer electronics like cheaper Micromax 50c3600fhd. They procure carton damaged (which are unused), factory seconds and surplus products and resale them after their thorough 50 point quality check. Their USP is that they provide a 1 year warranty on all their refurbished devices unlike other refurbishing companies which offer 6 month warranty.

Before buying any refurbished product, the user should check the original price first for quick comparison to cross-check the discount offered by these companies. To compare the product features and specifications, check Dell Laptops Price List in India and iball laptop price list india
