Qatar Airways, which operates flights from Dhaka to Qatar’s capital Doha, has imposed new travel restrictions for its passengers. They have given new instructions to the passengers to take the corona RT PCR test a maximum of 48 hours before boarding the plane.

Qatar Airways has issued such instructions to passengers from December 16. Qatar Airways was the first airline to impose this condition on the movement of passengers, even though different countries have separate travel restrictions on foreign travel.

This order applies only to passengers traveling to Qatar from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Passengers not complying with these restrictions will not be issued a Qatar Airways boarding pass.

According to Qatar Airways, a passenger who has been given a full dose of the corona vaccine must stay in hotel quarantine for one day after entering Qatar. Besides, he has to take a PCR test and take a negative certificate. However, those who have not been given the corona vaccine will have to stay in a 14-day institutional quarantine at the designated hotel upon arrival in Qatar.

It is to be noted that Bangladeshis travel on various routes from Bangladesh to Qatar Airways, in addition to Doha, Europe-America, and Canada.
