If you find yourself travelling to Montenegro, you should certainly check out Herceg Novi!

Herceg Novi's old town is a must-see if you're staying in or visiting the town.

Down the stairs, as you descend towards the Pet Danica promenade, you come across the best-preserved Herceg Novi fortress, which is built on a steep, stone cliff above the sea.

Walking around the old town here is a wonderful experience and a great way to see and capture some beautiful sites and views of the city.

The city museum keeps a historical, archaeological, ethnological collection, and a collection of icons.

It should be noted that the most important temple in the city is Monastery Savina.

Savina Monastery — The Savina monastery, approximately 2 km east from the city center has three beautiful Orthodox churches and splendid views of the bay.

— Herceg Novi has a 7 km-long promenade that stretches from the neighboring town of Igalo all the way to Meljine at the city’s edge.

Upper part of the city, which has the old town and where the main street (Njegoševa) runs through, and the lower part, which has the beaches and seaside promenade.

Boka Bay

The Bay of Kotor (Boka Bay) is an incredible travel destination for a number of reasons, but its biggest draw is its magnificent scenery.
