Remove the broken key from all types of locks

An experienced locksmith will be able to remove broken keys from all types of locks such as:

  • remove the key from European locks and cylinders
  • garage locks
  • padlocks
  • window locks
  • railing locks
  • armored door locks

Why does a key break in a lock?

The reason why the key broke and clicked in the lock will be one of the following:

  • the key is rotated when it is not fully inserted
  • attempt to use an incorrect key
  • attempt to force the opening of a block which, consequently, jams
  • holding the key while opening the door, causing it to bend and then break
  • previously damaged keys without you knowing, such as using keys to open paint boxes, open glass bottles, etc.

Are there some common locks for broken keys?

The double bit key mechanism is the most common for flip keys. The vast majority of doors have this type of mechanism, although this trend is changing rapidly as European cylinder locks are much safer and more reliable.
