Although rugby originated in 1823 as the game we know today, the antique Chinese and Roman people had played different kinds of games with the main goal of taking the ball to a definite line since the very start of civilization. The forerunners of the current rugby game were found pretty much across the world, including Marn Grook in Australia, Ki-o-rahi in New Zealand, Kemari in Japan, etc.

1987 RWC: John Kirwan

One of the biggest moments in the past of the competition happened in the very inaugural Rugby World Cup game. It was an affair between New Zealand which are hosts and Italy's national rugby team. The host nation celebrated an impressive 70-6 victory but the game produced a historical moment when John Kirwan achieved to beat Italy's full team after receiving the ball in his half.

1991 RWC: Western Samoa

Nevertheless, the Western Samoans offered fantastic resistance on the occasion, keeping the game tight until the very final whistle. 2003 the biggest win in the past of the Rugby World Cup

We’ve seen some annihilating wins throughout history but none came close to Australia’s thumping of Namibia in the group phase of the 2003 RWC said Mark Wighan, Rugby expert at media. The Australia national rugby team destroyed the African outfit 142-0 on the occasion, showcasing the huge difference in quality between the two sides by recording 22 tries.

2003 RWC:  Jonny Wilkinson

Australia may have appealed the highest-margin triumph ever in 2003, but they came up empty-handed after the last clash against England. The Australia rugby team had a lead going into the final 20 seconds of the affair but Jonny Wilkinson altered the history of the sport, handing his England perhaps their greatest victory ever with a kick with his weaker foot in the dying minutes of the situation.

2007 France Rugby World Cup:  Takudzwa Ngwenya

The game between South Africa and the United States in the 2007 competition brought a memorable instant when Takudzwa Ngwenya counted one of the most sensational tries in the history of the competition, breezing past Bryan Habana who was regarded as the quickest player on the planet back then. His try was not sufficient for the US' win on the occasion but it surely deserves a place on this list.

2011 RWC: Haka & Sipi Tau

The opening game of the RWC 2011 event brought us the bang between New Zealand and Tonga. The two outfits came up with astonishing pre-match rituals, known as the Sipi Tau and Haka. Everyone at the stadium felt Goosebumps after the two nation’s old-style dances. South Africa suffered one of their most humbling defeats ever in 2015 when they faced Japan.

South Africa Rugby World Cup team player Nigel Owens deal

South Africa’s Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus exposed he's on the verge of locking in retired ref Nigel Owens as an advisor for the South Africa rugby team. South Africa’s Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus has exposed that he is on the verge of fortifying retired Welsh referee Nigel Owens as a mentor for South Africa ahead of the France Rugby World Cup 2023.

If the contract goes through, Owens will serve as the primary communication link between the world winners and World Rugby’s refereeing department. Despite early reluctance due to commitments on his farm in Wales, Owens looks to have had a change of heart and is close to joining South Africa. The former referee has an inspiring track record, having managed 100 international games, including three RWCs.

The relationship between the Springboks and World Rugby’s officials has been tense over the past two years, with Erasmus twice disqualified for his social media activity relating to the controversial test decisions.  Erasmus is hoping the count of Owens as an advisor could help ease the tension and improve communication between the two revelries. Everyone knows about Nigel, Erasmus said.

South African voice is attacking other RWC superiors

I truly just emailed him. From the outer, he said it’s a goer. From the inside, we’ll know next week. The reason is straightforward, Erasmus told the media. We could take one of our local refs, but it would be another South African opinion. People from the outside think the South African voice is attacking or haughty. Even the way I talk, sometimes people think it’s violent. When you’ve known me a while, you know it’s not violent.

We want to change that view. Before those two events Erasmus’s bans, we never had stuff like that. It will take hard work to change. Someone like Nigel might come in and say, these guys are doing it right, or he might say, hey guys, you have to transform a few things here. It’s the way he interconnects. It’s a real thing we’re trying to repair, not a smokescreen. I don’t want to exchange myself into a hole again here.

We essentially felt we have to repair this because there’s not a great connection. We want to rearrange that. It’s an honest need for us to change. If we get our way, we will have him as soon as thinkable. We are very associated in terms of the way World Rugby’s going with care, tackling, and head interaction. So, it’s the awareness of whether or not something’s OK when we send it to World Rugby.

Nigel could chat with them for us before Rugby World Cup 2023

Then, there’s his data in reviews, previews, and videos. We want somebody to be a full-on running member. It would be great. Erasmus is known for his advanced approach to the game and previously has brought in advisors from other sports to work with South Africa.  If the deal with Owens is confirmed, it could provide an important boost to South Africa’s odds of retaining their RWC title in 2023.
