Olympic Paris: Olympic Volleyball After 2019 SEA Games

Olympic Paris:The men’s national volleyball team expired from making history in 2019 to being abridged to a program in disarray less than four years later. From a silver that shone like gold in the Southeast Asian Games the country presented, the men’s squad was hit by inactivity as COVID-19 wiped out exercise sittings and local leagues, the unavailability of key cogs and disclosures of absent support during the last edition on the regular meet. And the program is a structure improvement on the backs of young strangers.

But under the new system of Brazilian coach Sergio Veloso, these first-timers are keen to show themselves and lift the program from its recent adversities and into glory in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia. Totoo ‘Yun mabigat para sa amin ngayon. Tine take namin siya as a test talaga kasi nga dahil bago young team taka young pinalite ng bawat isa big designations Yun sa Pilipinas. said setter Vince Mangulabnan, who is among the 12 first-time SEA Games activists out of the 14-man roster.

Mangulabnan will skipper the transformation squad and already, he talks like a frontrunner. Hindi kami megaprimes, Hindi kami magsasalita ng tapos pero ang gaga win namin. It’s like what coach Sergio says sa amin lag: Give your 110 out of a hundred. Ilalaban namin hang gang sa limit namin. Kung kaya namin masted over the line sa limit namin gagawin namin best namin para sa bansa.

Olympic Volleyball Eye Laure determined to end UST’s title drought Before France Olympic
After developing as the league’s top scorer for the second straight year, Eya Laure is not thoughtful of any individual awards as all she needs is to bring back the crown to the University of Santo Tomas in this UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament. The UST team captain was over with a season-best 268 points in her team’s 10-4 finish in the removal round, making a strong case as an MVP applicant as she also excelled in other skills sections.

But for Laure, the main goal is ending the 13-year title lack of the Tigresses. Hindi ko incise. Ang mas’ gusto ko talaga young make look sa championship podium. Syempre Nasa senior year na ran ako, so dun young care ko ngayon said Laure after pouring 28 points in UST’s 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 19-25, 15-6 win over University of the Philippines on Sunday. I’m not thinking about any separate awards. What I want more is to be on the challenge podium. I’m in my senior year so all my care is on winning the title.

But for Laure to reach that goal, the star wing spiker, who touched the Finals during her rookie year in 2019 with Sisi Rondina but lost the Season 81 title to Ateneo in Game 3, has to overwhelm a tall order in the Final Four. The Tigresses fight the top-seeded and twice-to-beat De La Salle Lady Spikers on Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. Of course, La Salle is La Salle. They have a strong scheme but we will show and show UST’s system said Laure in Filipino.

Olympic Volleyball Sunshine Coast Volleyball Club U18 team brings home silver from provincials

The Sunshine Coast Volleyball Club’s U18 team finished their fruitful season with an outstanding performance at the BC Club Volleyball Provincial Finals last weekend at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The team had a bizarre first day, winning three conventional matches in contradiction of Comox Valley, Yukon Elite from Whitehorse, then posting Cougars VBC from Maple Ridge in two sets to finish first in their pool.

The playoffs were ongoing the next day. First up, the girls beat Cloverdale VBC in two sets, setting up a semi-final fight against North Shore Stars VBC from North Vancouver. These teams have played five preceding times, with this one being one of the earlier matches. Fortunately, the team rallied, taking a very tense match in three tight sets to reach the final. The final was in contradiction of a very good team from West Kootenay VBC out of Nelson.

The team bolted out to an impressive lead in the first set, unfortunately, they were powerless to hold on, as Kootenay took the first set, then rode impetus to take the match in two sets.  The team went 5-1 for the weekend and a silver medal for their exertion. Upcoming proceedings for SCVC teams include U14, U15, and U16 provincials in Abbotsford the next two weekends.
