Shane names his Welsh fifteen Stars of the year
Jordan Williams at fullback, Keiran Williams at the centre, Keiron Assiratti at prop, and Morgan Morris of the Ospreys in the back row are Shane's four uncapped participants. Nine Ospreys, six Scarlets, four each from Cardiff and the Dragons, and nine players from Ospreys make up his 23-man roster. Warren Gatland will find his choices to be thought-provoking.
Returning try ace Tomi Lewis, who ripped it up in England this season by aiding shirts Reds win the Championship, is one of the Scarlets he selects. Shane believes the young player, returning to Llanelli after making a name for himself with a shirt, can succeed Leigh Halfpenny and Liam Williams as Wales' full-backs in 18 months.
Sam Lousi and Vaea Fifita, the Scarlets' Tongan lock duo, are two of the two international players to make the team. Other than that, Shane feels that the Welsh teenagers in the selection give hope for the future following what has been a disappointing season for each of the four regions.
Steff Evans’ selection
Steff Evans is chosen for one of the wings, even though Gatland did not include the Scarlets flyer in his large Rugby World Cup 2023 practice squad. The majority of the Welsh competitors Shane selects to have a good chance of travelling to the France Rugby World Cup this autumn. Jordan Williams and Morgan Morris, however, have not been chosen by Gatland in addition to Evans.
He did a fantastic job of consistently bringing the Ospreys over the goal line with his direct rushing and quick feet. In light of the fact that his old colleague Joe Hawkins is no longer in the race, he seems to me to be prepared for action on the grandest of stages.
Another young player, Scarlets No. 10 Saw Costelow, is selected as the fly-half, and Rhys Webb, a seasoned player, is named the starting scrum-half. Gatland still needs to decide on his Rugby World Cup nine players, with Webb competing for a position versus Tomos Williams, Kieran Hardy, and Gareth Davies.
Shane's front-rowparticipant
Shane's front row includes Ospreys loosehead Nicky Smith, who was passed over for the Six Nations, while Dragons hooker Elliot Dee was chosen before Wales' Six Nations leader Ken Owens due to his outstanding play for the Rodney Parade team.
Many competitors might have been selected for the back row, according to him, however, he chose the Ospreys' Jac Morgan, Justin Tipuric, and Morgan Morris trio as "the greatest pairing." Morris beats out No. 8-ranked Taulupe Faletau of Cardiff & Wales for the position.

Lee rejects a bid for the Rugby World Cup
Samson Lee of Wales, who returned to the game after a 14-month absence, has ruled out making a late bid for a spot in Warren Gatland's Rugby World Cup 2023 team. To become Rugby World Cup 2023 eye witness you can buy Wales Vs Portugal Tickets from our online platform.
Lee played a 40-minute cameo versus Newport on Saturday for Welsh Premiership team Llandovery after being sidelined since March 2022 due to a career-threatening Achilles damage sustained while playing for the Scarlets.
The 30-year-old has 45 international victories under his belt and is eager to don the red shirt once more. He acknowledges that he has little chance of being prepared for the upcoming competition in France RWC.
Confirmation of Borthwick's coaching ticket
Before the Rugby World Cup, Steve Borthwick travelled back to Leicester to appoint Tom Harrison as the new scrum instructor for his England team. Harrison, who will take over for Richard Cockerill on June 1st, follows in the footsteps of the selections of Richard Wigglesworth, Aled Walters, and Kevin Sinfield, all of whom have left the Tigers for England.
Harrison, who was a member of the squad that claimed the Premiership championship in 2022, now serves as the Tigers' assistant trainer and is in charge of scrum coaching.
