Accuracy: The accuracy of the location data depends upon the number of satellites visible to the satellite receiver. In case of poor visibility, the accuracy of the location data decreases. RTLS-managed services use more than four satellites to calculate the location of the device.

Reliability: The location data depends on how many times the satellites have been able to communicate with the device. If the device loses satellite communication, the location data becomes unreliable. Managed RTLS uses a high-frequency radio link to send messages between the device and the satellites. The location data remains unaffected if the device loses contact with the satellites.
