Ghost Types

Ghosts are a type of Pokemon that, as their name suggests, can be seen but not touched. They can, however, be harmed by the same moves that can harm any other Pokemon. They also have some unique Abilities, like Specter and Shadow Tag, which are not available to any other Pokemon type. In addition, Ghosts are super-effective against Psychic and Dark types. They are weak against Fire, Water, and Fighting moves, but they are immune to paralysis (such as from Lick) and cannot be trapped by any trapping move or Ability. They can be harmed by Steel-type moves, but they are ineffective against Normal and Fighting moves.

Ghost Pokemon can be found throughout the game, though their locations do not always provide any clues as to their type. Regardless, the Journal will give players tips on how to identify each Ghost, and any Evidence they leave behind is an excellent clue. The types of Evidence that can be found in a Ghost's location include EMF Level 5, Fingerprints, Freezing Temperatures, Ghost Orb, Spirit Box, and Ghost Writing.

These clues should help players narrow down the Ghost type they are searching for, making it easier to find and catch them. Once a Ghost is caught, they will leave a Spirit Orb in its spot, and its color and texture will be different depending on the type of Ghost it is.

While some Ghosts can be resurrected, some can only be killed to become ghosts. As ghosts, they are unable to evolve physically, and they can only regain their lost body parts through a special process that requires the assistance of the Guardians. When this occurs, a ghost will lose its memories of the original owner, as shown when Rohan read Reimi's spirit and only saw information from her former life.

Ghosts can communicate with other ghosts in order to form teams, and each team has a leader who is in charge of its mission. Additionally, some ghosts will also serve as a marker for fallen players, as they will notify the player if the player dies in cooperative play.
Ghost Hunt Bonuses

Ghost Hunters can upgrade the skills of their ghosts with Gloom gained from hunting them and found in capsules. These upgrades can increase their damage, set health and Multiplayer level. Nagging Nathan, Drew Jones, Madame Digamberetto, Duke, Crooked Sven Robin, Monsieur Forte, Daisy and Beau are currently available bonuses that can be upgraded to their maximum of 25. Some Gloombies possessed by Ghosts have wings or additional limbs, such as a second pair of arms or four tentacles on their back.
Ghost Hunt Workshop

Ghosts are creatures that haunt the streets of Newbury and have the ability to possess Humans and turn them into Gloombies. They are capable of flying around and are often seen as being green, though this isn't true for all ghosts.

Legendary ranked ghosts require a Soul Artifact (Bosses) or have significant health pools (Mini Bosses). They are more powerful and more difficult to trap than other ghosts.
