1. Language Fluency

This is the most important selection factor which you should be sure to score. This is because in Canada communication is everything, be it in a job, study, or business. Your IELTS score for Canada PR in 2024 should be a minimum of 6.0 to 6.5.

Your overall band score should be above 6.0 and not anything below. Some jobs and universities take lower scores from 4.5 to 5.5 There are 2 ways to access your English or French language skills.

a)Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) - English

b) Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) - French

Getting a minimum of CLB 7 or NCLC 7 in 1 official language across 4 language components is considered ideal. In case you need scores for the second official language you should receive minimum CLB 5 or NCLC 5 across all 4 sections.

2. Education

This is the second most scoring selection factor on the Canada 67 points calculator.  In case you did your schooling from Canada you require a certificate, diploma, or degree from a Canada-based secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution.

In case you have an overseas education ensure to get an Educational Credential Assessment for immigration. This must be from a designated organization to show your education is equal to Canadian certificate, diploma or degree which is completed.

3. Work Experience

Your work experience can grant you as much as 15 points. You need a full-time paid work of minimum of 30 hours per week, or an equal amount of part-time which is 15 hours per week for 24 months.

This should be in a skilled profession present on the Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the 2021 National Occupational Classification (NOC). For that search your National Occupational Code.

This is used to classify jobs in the economic landscape of Canada.

4. Age

The lesser age you apply the better points you score with 12 points being the maximum. Have a look at this table to get a fair idea. You can even seek help from  immigration consultants in Mumbai.

5. Arranged Employment

This means that you can get 10 points upon having a valid job offer of a minimum of 1 year from an employer in Canada. This valid job offer should be consistent, paid, full-time work. This should range at least 30 hours per week.

Keep in mind that this job should not be seasonal and must span for 1 year. Also, the job must be listed on the TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the NOC. Get an LMIA from an employer as you cannot procure this.

Also, Employment and Social Development Canada shall only confirm job offers present on the TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the NOC.

6. Adaptability

This is the last selection factor and can get you another 10 points. If you are taking along your spouse or common-law partner they can help you with points addition. Be it their age, language, education or work experience.
