No one likes to sit in a dirty car. Keeping your car clean has a healthy affect on your mood and self-perception. You can easily do your car dry cleaning by using home ingredients.

1. Cleaning the car exterior

  • Rinse your car with a hose or bucket and remove excess dirt.
  • Make a powerful cutting agent by adding 1 cup of baking soda to a gallon of soapy hot water.
  • Use of denatured alcohol dissipates tar and sap well.
  • Baby shampoo is a great cleanser that can be used to cut grease and grime on the body of the car. Always scrub with a soft cloth else it can scratch your car's paint. Make sure not to use too much shampoo. Use a dust mop to reach difficult places like the roof or hood.

Rubbing alcohol on windshield wipers can clean the road grime. Wet the rag with alcohol, take the wiper in hand and gently pull the rag along the rubber edge of the wiper blade.

2. Cleaning hard surfaces and the center console

  • Wipe all surfaces with a damp rag to remove excess grunge.
  • Use toothpaste to remove stains on the leather or vinyl seats.
  • Spray the mixture of equal parts of water and alcohol on hard surfaces and then wipe them with used fabric softener sheets.
  • A solution of one part of vinegar with one part linseed oil is a great combination for beating interior dirt.
  • Sprinkle some baking soda on the car's ashtray.

  •  Allow the grass stain to soak in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and then wash normally.

4. Cleaning car window

  • Wipe the windows from top to bottom with newspaper and microfiber towels as they are highly absorbent and don't leave any link or streaks behind.
