One among them, that has caught the fancy of people involved in finding solutions for diabetes treatment and resistance, is high alkaline water. The solution was present right before our eyes and we were unfortunately finding ways to ignore it, at our own peril. So, how does it work?

The association between alkaline water and diabetes all comes down to the pH level of your body. It is no secret that our pancreas release insulin with quite a high pH or alkaline level. And insulin works to control your body’s pH levels and helps it in utilizing carbohydrates and sugars. Now, for pancreas to do its job, it needs enough calcium. But, in situations such as diabetes, calcium can’t be used by the pancreas in the way it is supposed to due to the presence of acidic blood conditions. High protein diets can make the case even worse by not allowing pancreas to secrete insulin; this happens as pancreas’ blood vessels are blocked. This is where alkaline water comes into the picture. It helps in diabetes resistance and treatment by managing insulin production inside the body. To make it more simple, you should know that alkaline water has high pH, so it has the ability to neutralize acidic conditions. Also, alkaline water contains ionized calcium, which the pancreas can readily use to produce insulin. So, now you see how drinking a few ounces of alkaline water daily can help you manage your diabetes for good.
