Explosive Diarrhea

Diarrhea is the most common problem, which usually occurs after eating. It can last for many days or it will become chronic and requires immediate medication. Main reason for occurring explosive diarrhea is due to the bad bacterial stomach or intestinal virus. If you are experiencing diarrhea for longer days, it is better to seek the doctor. Actually, diarrhea is of two types acute and chronic. Acute last for less than two weeks, while the chronic diarrhea last longer and become serious problem. You will feel symptoms like pain and bloating.

Explosive Diarrhea Causes:

Actually, explosive diarrhea is associated with acute diarrhea condition. One of the most common causes for the occurrence of explosive diarrhea is due to gastrointestinal infection. These infections are mainly caused by certain viruses, bacteria or parasites. Mostly, these infections occur due to eating contaminated water or food items. Some infections occur due to antibiotics treatment. Medication is also sometimes responsible for causing explosive diarrhea. Blood pressure medication, antacids and cancer medication with large amount of magnesium results in causing explosive diarrhea. Bowel disease is also results in causing explosive diarrhea. Usually, chronic conditions cause inflammation of colon, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, colon cancer and irritable bowel syndrome. These conditions results in explosive diarrhea. Explosive diarrhea also occurs due to malabsorption. Malabsorption is nothing but an inability of the body to absorb certain kinds of nutrients from the food items. Many conditions, intolerances and medications can cause malabsorption. This results in causing explosive diarrhea.

Symptoms of Explosive Diarrhea:

Most common symptom is violent exploding stream of liquid. In addition to this, you will also find other symptoms such as abdominal pain, Stool discoloration, Mild to rigorous abdominal cramping, vomiting, Fatigue, and general weakness, unusual sounds and Stomach gurgling, Colon area pain, Terrible, and foul odor. When the explosive diarrhea extend more than two weeks, it is better to seek a doctor immediately.

Treatment:

There are many simple ways available for treating the explosive diarrhea at its initial stage, so that it helps to reduce the symptoms. Instead of taking solid food items, you can take only liquid items such as milk that is very helpful. You can also take some Over-the-counter constipating agents like Kaopectate, Pepto-Bismol, or Imodium. Usually, the persistent or explosive diarrhea is treated depending on its causes. Based on its causes, treatments for explosive diarrhea vary. Luckily, causes for the explosive diarrhea can be easily found and you can take the effective treatment that is usually available.
