This may require shortening your sets as your workout continues. When weight lifting, it is perfectly fine to cheat just a little bit. If you need to use a bit of your body to get those last couple of reps in, it's okay. In fact, this is a great way to increase your workout volume. But, it is important to keep cheating to a minimum. Make sure your rep speed is constant. Maintain your form throughout as well. If bulking up is appealing to you, then concentrate on squatting, dead lifting and bench presses. These exercises will whip you into shape quickly. Although you can perform other exercises in your routine, these should be the ones you focus on. Preceding and following up your workouts with foods that contain plenty of protein is a good practice when you want to maximize muscle growth. It's a good suggestion to consume approximately fifteen grams thirty minutes prior to training, and then do the same thing after you finish. To get an idea of how much 15 grams is, think a couple of glasses of milk. Not all exercises should be done with larger weights.
