When it comes to basketball, Michael Jordan comes to the mind along with the NBA teams. Similarly, Houston’s RUH youth sports have come up with their foundation and have founded their boys as well as girl teams.

The foundation has been reported to have completed their team tryouts and to have already formed their teams for girls and the boys’ teams and tryouts are still awaited.

This foundation is a not for profit organization which provides basketball trainings to boys and girls aged from eight to seventeen years with a nominal fee of ten US dollars. Also, good or extraordinary players are provided with scholarships for their trainings.

Furthermore, there is a written exam for the players and a special reward is also given to the best player at the end of the training.

Senior athletes form the coach team as Basketball Training Houston for young or beginner players. For these, the fees per player to form a team can be ranging from an approximate of six hundred US dollars to seven hundred US dollars for the tournament. As also, players need to raise amounts of one thousand to fifteen hundred US dollars by playing through charity. Rewards are given to such players who raise the maximum amounts by playing.

Behavior of the players is strongly monitored during camps or tournaments. If any guardian, parent or player is found to be rude, then they might not be included in the respective camp or tournament. However, players might be put on hold or observation if their performance is low or consistent and is not found to be growing. As also extra classes might be taken for players found to be consistently low in performance.

The top Basketball teams in Houston are namely Houston Hoops and Houston Defenders. There are also some players who are not listed in any of these teams but claim to be alumni of universities such as that of Rice University, and have formed teas of their own.
