Which types of ceramic brake discs are there?

The company FOXX Automotive Components from We?ling near Munich has established a worldwide unique process with REBRAKE, a powerful and reliable process for the renewal of ceramic brake (http://www.rebrake.de/?lang=en) discs. Brake discs of all sizes and manufacturers, even older brake discs can now be restored to mint condition at low cost. While replacing a broken brake disc with a new one can cost 5,000 euros or more, a renewal procedure only costs around 1,200 euros. Basically, a distinction is made between two different carbon ceramic brake (http://www.rebrake.de/which-types-of-ceramic-brake-discs-are-there/?lang=en) discs (CCB). Experts assume that ceramic brake systems will continue to gain traction. The advantages are obvious - the innovative braking systems are not only especially efficient (road safety argument), but also generate extremely low levels of particulate matter (environmental argument).

In general, a distinction is made between two different carbon ceramic brake discs

It can therefore be assumed that further suppliers will establish themselves on the market in the future. For one, there are brake discs by Brembo SGL. These are mainly mounted by Porsche, Mercedes / AMG and Audi. The special feature of this type of ceramic brake discs: The surface is especially hard and therefore much less susceptible to wear, which is particularly noticeable in racing. In addition, there are conventional, older state-of-the-art brake discs which do not have a particularly hard surface layer and are therefore more susceptible to wear.

With the REBRAKE reconditioning processes ceramic brake discs can be repaired

Regardless of manufacturer, size and type - all ceramic brake discs can be repaired with the REBRAKE reconditioning process. The basic structure is the same for all ceramic brake discs. The REBRAKE process is based on a hardened surface with silicon carbonate. This surface is usually harder than with new discs. The procedure has been sufficiently tested and has fully proved its worth. Renewed brake discs have outstanding properties - especially the surface behaves particularly heat- and abrasion-resistant after the pyrolysis and siliconizing process.

Rebrake is the specialists in refurbishing ceramic brakes. The company can used and worn ceramic brakes discs can be refurbished. REBRAKE gives refurbished brake discs the best properties.
