help for dyslexia

Hi I’m Jessica! I specialize in teaching children with dyslexia and learning differences to read, write and spell. My program is Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory, and aligned with the last neuroscience. The Orton-Gillingham approach is direct, explicit, systematic instruction of phonemes and the structure of language. My program is individualized to the specific needs and strengths of your child’s learning style and brain.

Dyslexia can manifest itself in different ways –difficulty analyzing sounds, difficulty naming things rapidly, and difficulty with visual perception.

My program is unique for many reasons, but most importantly, it is emotionally sound! The emotional implications for children who are not learning to read and write as easily as their peers can be very concerning for parents. Anxiety and anger are very common emotional symptoms of dyslexia. My teaching is based on providing the experience of success around language activities.
