Many people lack enough space in the closet. These individuals have learned that it’s not necessary to cram everything in the minimal space. If you have a too-small closet of clothes, you double the space. Although it may seem impossible, it’s doable. The wardrobe is bigger than you think. if you have numerous clothing items, continue reading to learn how you can make the most out of your living space.

Add a second clothing bar

Maybe your collection of scarves grew. Or maybe you have more dresses than you can wear. When you love shopping, it’s hard to resist the impulse to buy. Well, it’s your money. Use all the space that is available in the closet. Install a second clothing bar. The average clothing bar is located at eye level, so it offers you plenty of room to add a second one. This will allow you to accommodate shorter garments or things that can be folded, such as pants or skirts. If you’re not looking for a permanent solution, resort to using a tension rod. It stays in place and you don’t even have to use screws.

Store away off-season clothes

When it comes to organizing the closet, you have to learn one very important lesson. Off-season clothing should never be on display. In the summer, you don’t need things like winter jackets or boots. Instead of keeping the apparel in the home, you should store in a place far away. The off-season clothes take up a lot of closet space. Book a self storage unit and use it as a second closet. A storage unit is the best solution for pieces of clothing that aren’t worn on a daily basis. Put away bulky sweaters or footwear. To make it easier to retrieve the items that you need, place the apparel in bins and label each bin. This way, you’ll have a clear idea what’s inside.

Invest in hangers

In case you didn’t know, you can save a great deal of space with hangers. Simply layering the hanging clothes saves much-needed room. If you happen to have a tall wardrobe, then hang the clothes vertically. Get your hands on a metal chain and hang your dresses and other clothes. It’s possible to create the same effect using curtain rings. Many people like to plan their outfits ahead of time. If you’re just like them, use pegs to clip the pieces together. For instance, if you plan on wearing a specific skirt with a specific blouse, use pegs to create a uniform look. Equally useful is to use baby hangers. There is so much wasted space in the closet and baby hangers can help with this issue. They fit in just perfectly and they don’t overlap.

As you can see, there are many ways in which you can double the closet space. Double the closet space and you’ll be able to double the amount of clothing.
