Posted by Financial Adviser on October 20th, 2018

JD Power auto insurance rankings provide auto insurance shoppers with an easy tool to assess the quality of their next potential auto insurer. JD Power car insurance ratings judge car insurance providers on six criteria; overall satisfaction, policy offerings, price, billing and payment, interaction, and claims. JD Power also segments their rankings by regions within the United States.

Let’s face it, we all know that shopping for car insurance can be an overwhelming task. As a result, many of us start off with the car insurance company that our parents use and continue to use that company until we are either forced to look for another car insurance company because we are dropped by the insurer and is classified as “high risk” (i.e. driver received a DUI / DWI)  or we cannot afford the auto insurance rates by our existing provider. Whatever the case may be, JD Power’s US Auto Insurance Study, makes it extremely easy to get competitive intelligence that we need to make informed decisions.

There are literally hundreds of car insurance companies out there. You know the bigger ones, like Geico, Progressive, Nationwide, and Allstate. However, there are hundreds of smaller car insurance companies that provide better services at a lower cost with greater customer satisfaction.

JD Power provides clear insight on the reviewed car insurance companies based on responses from millions of consumers. The one thing however that JD Power does not do is give you average costs of policies from the different companies.

FinancialAdviser.com took the reigns and actually received real quotes from each of the companies reviewed. View our comparison chart by clicking on the link below.
