The Netherlands ends as the eighth and last in historic team finals World Cup

 According to Hope News, The Dutch gymnastics team finished eighth and last on its debut in the country final at the World Cup on Monday. The gold in Doha went to China.

The Dutch team consisted of Epke Zonderland, Bart Deurloo, Bram Louwije, Casimir Schmidt and Frank Rijken. They reached a score of 240,660.

The Netherlands turned far from flawless. Rich on floor and Deurloo on horse / full points are due to misses. Because the worst results in the format of the final were not cancelled, they were expensive mistakes.

The gold went to China that European champion Russia was ahead with a minimal difference. The Asians scored 256,634 points, Russia 256,585. Defending champion and Olympic champion Japan took third place with 253,744 points. The best three countries qualified for the Nations Cup at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The Dutch team scored a score of 245,663 points in the preliminary round on Thursday, which turned out to be a seventh place a day later. With this, the Netherlands placed itself for the first time in history for the country finals at a World Cup.

The women's team missed the final on Sunday by setting the tenth score. Also among the women, the strongest eight countries went through to the final, which is held on Tuesday. The World Cup in Qatar lasts until Saturday.

The individual finals will be on the program from Wednesday.
