PLACES TO VISIT WITH KIDS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Sacramento

We visited Sacramento the previous fall and our whole family had an inconceivable time. We spent the morning at the Sacramento Zoo, Siskiyou county map and after that made a beeline for Old Sacramento to find out about The Pony Express and other cool California realities. The following morning we visited the State Capitol which had such huge numbers of fascinating antiquities that even 5-year-old Ayva had an incredible time learning!

The Jelly Belly Factory

Jam beans. That's all there is to it? The Jelly Belly processing plant in Fairfield (around a hour from San Francisco) offers free industrial facility visits and tests every day. The manufacturing plant wasn't underway mode when we visited, yet it was as yet instructive and fun.

Tilden Regional Park

This stop situated in Berkeley has bounty to keep the entire family occupied, and it's our go-to when we don't recognize what to do. There are heaps of regions where children can run and play (look at the enormous slope at the Brazilian Room at Wildcat Canyon Road!), a merry go round, a free homestead, and a steam train. Pack a cookout and you could spend the whole outing in that excellent Northern California air!

The California Missions

We haven't visited the missions, yet, yet as a Catholic school kid, Ayva is as of now exceptionally inspired by adopting more about them. We will begin looking at them this spring on account of this incredible data on Mission San Rafael from Leslie at Travel With Tykes.

San Francisco

In case you're in Northern California, you need to look at San Francisco. Begin at Fisherman's Wharf and work you far up to Chinatown the distance to Golden Gate Park. You could spend a whole week in San Francisco and still not see everything. It's justified, despite all the trouble to attempt to pack it all in, however!
