Many types of error occur due to the problems in hard drive.

  • If any error occurs on the monitor screen, but no clicking or scraping noise can be heard from the hard disk, then this problem can be resolved by using a software application.
  • If a specific sound is coming from the hard drive, then this is a serious problem that can only be better resolved by a laptop hardware repair professional.
  • If your laptop hard drive has warranty then get your hard drive’s motor repaired or its bad component from PC repair shop at no charge at all.

Repair Hard Drive Bad Sectors

If your hard drive is not making any noise, and any error pop ups on the desktop, then you can resolve this problem yourself by fixing the bad sectors. The computer or laptop hard drive has many sectors to store the data, if any problem occurs in any of these sectors, then the data stored thereon is lost, and not accessible. But the data in other sectors remain safe. The bad sector, where the problem has occurred, never stores the data, and due to this the storage capacity of the hard drive will reduce.

The hard drive of windows or Mac Os have inbuilt application, that can scan the errors of hard drive and then tries to solve them.

If you want to fix the bad sectors in your laptop hard drive, then follow the following instructions.

§ First, open ‘My Computer’.

§ Right click on the sector of hard drive, which you want to repair.

§ Now select the ‘Properties’ tab, and then the ‘Tools’ option.

§ Then in ‘Error Checking’ section select the ‘Check Now’ button.

§ A window will appear on the screen you need to check the both boxes.

§ Then click on ‘Start’ button to start the process.

Repair a Corrupted Hard Drive

If you want to repair a corrupted hard drive, then you need to use specific software that will remove the corrupted data, and repair the drive.

For repairing the corrupted hard drive, simply follow the following instructions.

§ Download a hard drive utility application to a flash or removable drive from another computer.

§ Then attach the flash drive to your laptop, and switch on the laptop.

§ Then the utility application starts.

§ Follow the step by step instructions that will appear on the screen and remove all the corrupted data. Now, your hard drive is just like new.
