The purpose of all kinds of natural therapies is to restore the balance to the body and the purpose of using essential oil for skin care is also same. The results of skin care products prepared in the laboratory are sometimes quick and dramatic but natural ingredients help to provide long lasting nourishment to your skin without the side effects that are usually associated with all kinds of chemical based products.
Essential oil mixtures are usually simple to make, they are rewarding and save a lot of money. A balanced aromatherapy blend provides the curative healing effect to your skin. There are some essential oils that are considered very effective in natural beauty and skin care. Using these ingredients you can prepare an effective recipe for many kinds of skin problems.

I want to share some of the important aromatherapy oils that are used in beauty care and skin condition formulas for both men and women. These aromatherapy oils include: Helichrysum italicum – it is a strong skin metabolism stimulator and it helps to prevent skin inflammation which is the cause of many skin conditions. Rosemary essential oil of the Verbenone chemotype - Rosemary is one of the most used aromatic herbs. The essential oil obtained from the Verbenone chemotype is the one preferred in aromatherapy and is defined as the "most skin-friendly". It also facilitates the process of removing the cellular waste material. True Lavender: True Lavender not only treats the skin directly but also releases the tension and facilitates the reduction of inflammation and it has a nice relaxing perfume. Niaouli is another essential oil, it known for its antiseptic properties, it is also used for clearing and cleansing and helps to elevate and firm the skin.

The essential oils mentioned above are only few of the common essential oils, there are many more essential oils available that can be used for a variety of purposes ranging from general beauty care to a particular skin condition.
Now for the penetration of essential oil into the skin you need what is commonly known as base or carrier oil. These base oils serves several purposes, they bring essential oils into the skin and also supply skin with nutrients that are healthy for our skin. Some of the most commonly used carrier or base oils are: Rosehip Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Hazelnut oil. Rosehip seed oil is known for its ability to regenerate the damaged skin, it also helps to nourish prematurely aged skin. Evening primrose oil is good for the treatment of different skin disorders, some of which are eczema and premature aging skin. Hazelnut oil is the most commonly used of all due to the fact that it is good for all skin types.
These are the example of few aromatherapy recipes for skin conditions. There are lots of aromatherapy skin care recipes available and a little research will help you find what you are looking for. These recipes are easy to create and money saving. Although they are not fast in showing results but they will help you achieve a long term healthy skin.
