The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a pioneer of T20 cricket circuit since its inception in 2008. It has got tremendous viewership and immense market value around the world. This season is now operating at its business end. Some players are showing their true colours while others are yet to justify their billing. The league matches are almost over, and now the top four teams will fight it out in the playoffs for space in the finals.

1. Kagiso Rabada

The in-form Kagiso Rabada has played a very significant role in the success of Delhi Capitals this season. He received ample support from Saurav Ganguly and Rickey Ponting, the mentor and the coach of DC respectively. He currently holds the Purple Cap with 25 wickets in the tournament. 2. David Warner

Warner is back with a bank in competitive cricket after the sandpaper controversy. This break has provided his body with a well-deserved break, and the focus is entirely on cricket now. He is the primary reason why the Sunrisers Hyderabad are in the top 4 list. He has already scored one century and eight half-centuries in 12 matches. A good opening stand is always crucial to lay the foundation for a strong finish, and Warner has done just that.

3. KL Rahul

Rahul is picking up his game in VIVO IPL at the right time. The selection in the Indian team for the world cup has done wonders for him as far as the current form is concerned. He is one of the prime reasons why the Kings XI Punjab is still exploring the chances to qualify for the playoffs. He is the second highest run scorer in the season with five half-centuries and a century. He has also been a saviour for the team, be it through his wicketkeeping skills or chasing the ball at outfield.

4. Andre Russel

The story of IPL 2019 is incomplete without the mention of Caribbean all-rounder Andre Russel. His performance is instrumental and could take Kolkata Knight Riders to the playoff stage. As long as he is out in the middle, every target is chase able. His power hitting and immense self-belief is the highlight of this tournament. His bowling abilities also makes him a great asset.
