Basic Types of Pain

There are many sources and causes of pain. The pain sources are divided into two groups, nociceptive pain, and neuropathic pain. You should know that the treatment of pain depends upon the type of pain.

Nociceptive Pain

Nociceptive pain is a cut or a broken bone pain. Most of the leg and arm pain is nociceptive pain. This pain can be divided into two parts, radicular and somatic.

Radicular Pain

Radicular pain stems from irritation of the nerve roots, e.g., disk herniation. It usually goes down the leg or arm in the distribution of the nerve that exits from the nerve roots.

Somatic Pain

The somatic pain is limited to the back and thighs. The cause of the most back pain is not identified yet and is classified as idiopathic.

Neuropathic Pain

Usually, damage or disease that affects the nervous system is the primary cause of neuropathic pain. This pain can occur after nerves cut or after a stroke. Examples of this pain are diabetic peripheral neuropathy and shingles.

Neuropathic pain includes:

• Sympathetically maintained pain

• Irritable bowel syndrome

• Fibromyalgia

• Interstitial cystitis

Other Causes of Pain

Other causes of pain are:

• A headache

• Facial pain

• Compression fractures

• Coccydynia

• Peripheral nerve pain

• Cancer pain

• Plantar fasciitis

Pain management and Treatment

Pain management and Treatment can vary due to the structural behavior and type or severity of pain.

Therapy

Therapy can be aimed both at the mind and the body. Says Scheman, "I try to look at any of these therapies as not being purely physical or purely psychological — we are always a mixture of both of those things."

Physical therapy

Physical therapy is one of the essential parts of the pain management program. Sometimes pain can be worse if exercise is not done correctly or overuse. Only a physical therapist can choose the right exercise for you.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy

This therapy allows people to learn about the pain and have a better understanding of the type of pain. This understanding is needed in what role of pain is in your life.

Other pain management option

There are a variety of other pain management techniques that can help you to deal with both the physical and emotional part of the pain.

•    TENS also are known as (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) therapy

•    Meditation

•    Relaxation techniques

•    Biofeedback that teaches control over muscle tension, temperature, and heart rate

Medication

To overcome chronic pain, you can use medication that includes:

•    NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) – Includes ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin

•   Acetaminophen

•    Anti-seizure medications - can be used for treating the pain related to nerve damage or injury

If the therapy treatment or other management techniques is not working correctly, then you can use medication, you can buy tramadol tablets online to defeat the pain. You will not need the doctor's prescription if you buy medicine online.
