Ex-boyfriend convicted on four charges including abduction

Micahel J. Reibel was convicted on four charges; two felonies and two misdemeanors related to the abduction of his ex-girlfriend in Aurora, CO.

The woman obtained an order of protection to keep Reibel away in 2015. But that didn't stop him, reports TheBuffaloNews.

"He wouldn't take no for an answer."

Reibel violated the protection order when he continued to come to her house and to send her text messages, "sometimes implying that he was watching her movements," says Assistant District Attorney James M. Marra.

In fact, he once came over to her house three times on Memorial Day weekend in 2015 and then proceeded to flood her phone with text message after text message for weeks to come. He would start off by expressing "love", then came the personal attacks, followed by the apologies. Yeah... not your classic Romeo.

You would think that he'd get it after being told by her, by police, and by a judge to stop contacting her and showing up at her house. But nothing could knock some sense into this guy.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he abducts her! On July 21, 2015, Reibel, 40, broke his way into his ex-girlfriend's home and ordered her into his vehicle. She called the police but Reibel took off with her in the car right before they got there. They didn't get too far though as they were shortly found in Buffalo, NY. The woman was released to safety and Reibel was arrested and faces up to 19 years in prison.

Felonies– Burglary and Criminal Contempt
Misdemeanors- Stalking and Abduction
