Meditate On Gods Words And You Shall Know The Truth

I remember during my days in Primary school, my Bible knowledge teacher would stand in front of the class and tell us why Abraham had only one child.

“After God called Abraham out of his tent, he asked him to count the number of stars in the sky. Abraham told God that he could only count one because the stars are too much to count. Then, God told him (Abraham) that since he could only count one star, he would give birth to only one child.

As children we loved listening to such concocted stories unaware of the falsehood behind it. As I grew up and peruse the Holy Bible by myself, I found out the real truth.

“Later the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision, “Abram, don’t be afraid! I will protect you and reward you greatly.” But Abram answered, “Lord All-Powerful, you have give me everything I could ask for, except children, And, when I die, Eliezar of Damascus will get all I own. You have not given me any children, and this servant of mine will inherit everything.” The Lord replied, “No, he won’t! You will have a son of your own, and everything you have will be his.” Then the Lord took Abraham outside and said, “ Look at the sky and see if you can count the stars. That’s how many descendant you will have.” Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD was pleased with him.

(Youth Bible (Contemporary English Version (Good News))) Genesis 15: 1-6

These Bible verses clearly shows that God asked Abraham to see how uncountable the stars in the sky are, because his descendants will be that much, not because of only one child and moreover he (Abraham) did not give birth to only one child as shown in the following scriptural verses;

“And Sarai said to Abram, “The LORD has not given me any children. Sleep with my slave, and if she has a child, it will be mine.” Abram agreed, and Sarai gave him Hagar to be his wife.

Genesis 16: 2 –3

Here, we also know that Abraham impregnated Hagar who was a slave to Sarai. Technically, since Sarai gave him Hagar to be his wife, she (Hagar) is Abrahamms’ second wife.

“Abram was 86 years old when Hagar gave birth to their son and he named him Ishmael.”

There are so many lies and deceitful words that have been spoken to us by people who called themselves servants of God, and worst still they would say all these standing on God’ altar, and claim to be speaking according to the dictate of the Holy Spirit. That is why I believe God instructed me to write this book so that you can really understand what God wants you to do not what your pastor wants.

How many times have do you read the scripture in a day?

How many times do you have a quiet time with your Creator?

How many times do you validate the scriptural verses and the interpretation of the message during your church service?

Have you every pray to God to make you understand the meaning of His Words?

Do you only wait for your pastor to tell you when and where to read in the scriptures?

I could go on and on with such relevant questions, but the bottom line is, do you want to

know what God wants from you and how He expects you to live your life as a believer?
