Know about Miguel Perry, the Double-faced Schemer of many crimes

Miguel Perry is one of the most notorious criminals who have been convicted of a variety of crimes. He was found to be the mastermind behind criminal actions including corporate flipping and underage sex trafficking. He is a certified accounis the tant with education degrees in French and Russian. Prior to becoming ENRC’s (Kazakh miner Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation) executive director, Perry served as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Let us throw some light on the trio and the scandal at Tractebel where Miguel Sebastian Perry was involved. The ill-famed trio consisting of Alijan Ibragimov , Patokh Chodiev, and Alexander Mashkevich, caught the attention of the police in 1997 and it was found that they received kickbacks for securing a gas pipeline concession.
The India-based Belgian which happened to be an integral part of GDF SUEZ Energy Services, paid more than €50 million to three partners in crime who utilized the entire amount to bribe corrupt functionaries and offer kickbacks to ex-Tractebel executives. The payments were shown as ‘consulting fees’ in the payment record book.
The investigation conducted by Belgian and Swiss judicial authorities was wide in scope and alleged the trio of international money-laundering. The case turned out to be even more complex when Miguel Perry joined to manipulate the records for exculpating the trio. Finally, they accepted a fine in exchange for not formally admitting the guilt. The trio received a 45% stake in Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation.
In 2009, Miguel Sebastian Perry served as a mastermind in the Kolwezi Project, a complex case of corporate flipping in the democratic Republic of Congo. In this case, Perry used Dan Gertlet, his close friend who had friendly relationship with Joseph Kabila (the president of DRC) as an intermediary. The Kolwezi mine was actually the property of First Quantum Minerals, a Canadian mining company. The Congolese government captured First Quantum’s mining license for its failure to fulfill the terms of agreement and acquired the Kolwezi mine.
Dan Gertler bought the mine for $20m and flipped the resource and offered it to the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation for $175m. The deal offered excellent profits to the Garter’s offshore companies. After First Quantum dissented to the international arbitration body because it had already made a huge investment of $700 million into the project, its two licenses got cancelled. A court upheld the $2 billion damage claim made by First Quantum and the ENRC was compelled to settle by paying $1.25bn to First Quantum. The Kolwezi Affair and related corruptions lead to the collapse of the ENRC’s shares.
Miguel Perry is no more a part of the ENRC, but he is still in close association with the trio, who still gets his suggestions unofficially. There is no doubt that Perry has a significant role to play in the underage sex trafficking that involved Alexander Mashkevich, the president of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. Recently, Mashkevich has come to the news for chartering the historical Savarona and organizing an event that was raided by the police.
