New Update 2022 Chevy Impala Review

2022 Chevy Impala If thirty years ago someone had said that crossovers would be one of the biggest-selling vehicle categories, they would be hung up, tucked into the trunk of a large sedan, and discarded discreetly. Oh, how times have changed; SUVs are king, and traditional sedans are almost extinct. Nameplates like Taurus, Fusion, Chrysler 200, Sebring, Malibu, and Cruze have all seen the sharp edge of the ax.

But it doesn\'t have to be like this. My counter-argument against the SUV brigade is a rebranding of America\'s famous nameplate - the venerable Chevrolet Impala. Sure, that will disappear after the 2020 model year - but what if it comes back with muscular retro style and rear-wheel drive substance? Let\'s explore it illustratively further.

Unfortunately, the Impala currently has all the charms of a mid-2000 Accord with some rather interesting rear fender folds, so you can\'t blame the passenger for opting for a crossover over this beige four-door phone which is a faint shadow of his former self.

To counter this, my research pays homage to the 1964 4-door Impala hardtop with frameless windows and clean body lines, while also borrowing elements from the more curvy 1967 model. To carry it into the future, a road-inspired Chevrolet design language was used, with elements from the Camaro and Corvette embedded in the metalwork.

The font style is dominated by a shark-nosed, egg-like grille, muscular hood, and square fenders. Panels like diagonal black knives flow down from the hood to the doorway and employ recessed brake lines. The blackened A and C pillars exude a floating roof effect, while the side sculptures feature an aggressive rear haunch and lower door scallops for visual dynamism.

2022 Chevy Impala: New Update Specs and Overview

We hope that the next 11th generation Chevrolet Impala can hit the market around the 2020-2021 model year if it is approved for production and not canceled. Until then, we hope that the current tenth generation of Impala will receive minor changes, updates, and improvements.
