Movie Review (Synopsis):
The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure is a simple story of a loving friendship, a surprise birthday party and a BIG adventure...It’s a beautiful day in Lovelyloveville. It’s Schluufy’s birthday and the Oogieloves (Goobie, Zoozie, and Toofie) along with their friends J. Edgar, Windy Window and Ruffy, are organizing a party (Ssshh! It’s a secret). Everything is going along just perfectly until J.Edgar trips and loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville - OH NO!!! The Oogieloves immediately take action and set out to find the magical balloons in time to save their friend’s party. Along the way the they meet some very interesting characters indeed, including Dotty Rounder (Cloris Leachman); Bobby Wobbly (Carey Elwes); Milky Marvin(Chazz Palminteri), Rosalie Rosebud (Toni Braxton) and Lola and Lero Sombrero (Christopher Lloyd and Jaime Pressly). Can these new friends help them recover the magical balloons and get back to the cottage in time to celebrate Schluufy’s surprise birthday?
The official synopsis is easily the equal of, say, Prometheus, given that it revolves around three friends trying to retrieve the five most magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville before returning to their cottage in time for a surprise birthday party. What's more, the poster clearly states that the film is from "the marketing visionary who brought you Teletubbies and Thomas the Tank Engine". If there's one thing that kids are guaranteed to go crazy for, it's a marketing visionary. Does The Dark Knight Rises poster celebrate a marketing visionary? No, it doesn't, and it's all the poorer for it. Anyway, if you're new to the world of the Oogieloves, sit back and let me pick apart their new trailer.

The brightly coloured Oogieloves. As you can see, they're all really energetic. So energetic, in fact, that the one on the right looks as if he's on the brink of keeling over from exhaustion. I'm worried about him. But, hey, let's get to know our new best friends a bit better!

While watching a Tyler Perry Madea movie Kenn noticed the women mimicking what they saw on the screen and he started to think of a movie that would do the same for his demographics (children 3 – 5 years-old).
Viselman achieves that in The Oogieloves in The Big Balloon Adventure because the audience is encourage throughout the film to stand up, dance and sing along – all 3 – 5 year-olds present did just that. The movie repeatedly shows the audience cultural differences between today and the 1950s, such as the little song they sang every time one of the Oogieloves pants fell down – reflecting today’s culture with the “pants half down” style.

Viselman had to bring this interactive movie to the theaters himself because the studios at first thought it was a big risk, even though Kenn has made 20 billion in similar programming, and then later they wanted to much of the percentage he said. “I believe in Rated G, the studios don’t,” Kenn pointed out. “I believe there is enough violence in the world. Can we show love…just experience love?”

Love is what the film is about as the love of the three Oogieloves for their friend Schluuly drives them on in search of five helium balloons for his birthday. The balloons blew away so the race is on to get them back, for Schluuly’s surprise birthday party – before he wakes up. Cloris Leachman, Toni Braxton, Christopher Lloyd, Chazz Palminteri, and Cary Elwes and Jaime Pressly each have possession of one of the balloons.

With the help of friends old and new, the Oogieloves travel throughout LovelyLoveville to find five magical golden balloons in time for their friend Schluufy's surprise birthday party.

Of course, there's more to Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure than that. It's being billed as an interactive movie experience. And that'll be fun for everyone: the Oogieloves get to dance and sing onscreen; the kids in the audience get to dance and sing along with them; and the glum, minimum-wage cinema staff get to clean up the mixture of sweets, drinks, urine and puke that cakes the auditorium after every screening, while wondering why their lives are such an endless pit of despair. It's going to be amazing.

The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure is the first movie that is interactive for children and their parents. The creators felt there is so much screen time these days among children, they figured they would a movie that is active with movement. For so long, us parents have worried about whether or not our children would behave in theaters. As parents, we preface a trip to the show with the old "Sit down and be quiet" speech. With the new Oogieloves movie, parents can encourage children to stand up, sing, dance, talk, and move around during the movie.

Another Michigan component... the movie producers are working on a Get Healthy program with Henry Ford for chidren ages two and up. They took the money they would have spent on an after party and gave it back to Detroit with the Get Healthy program - a contribution of $150,000 to run this program and keep kids active.
